# Fren Pet costume contest (H2026): judging report

**Status: `unsupported_goal_context`. The contest was not judged. There is no first place and no second place.**

This run was asked to orchestrate a real goal job: twenty separate worker items, one independent visual
judging report each, compiled into a result. It could not, because the controller supplied none of the
goal context an orchestrator episode works from. No judge was dispatched, no panel was simulated inside
this session, and the compiler cast no vote. Everything below is a record of what was checked and what
is missing, not a result.

## Result

| | |
| --- | --- |
| First place | none (null) |
| Second place | none (null), unresolved |
| First-place tied leaders | none: no votes were cast |
| Second-place tied leaders | none: no votes were cast |

Zero votes for every entry is not a nine-way tie. No ballot exists, so no entry leads and none trails.

## Counts

| Stage | Judges |
| --- | --- |
| Planned | 20 (judge-01 to judge-20) |
| Dispatched | 0 |
| Completed | 0 |
| Valid ballots | 0 |
| Abstentions | 0 |
| Failed after dispatch | 0 |
| Missing (never dispatched) | 20 |

Missing judges and abstentions are different things and are reported apart: all twenty judges are
missing because none was dispatched; none abstained, because none ran.

## What was inspected, and what is missing

Checked at 2026-11-05T06:44:49Z, in the task workspace only:

| Looked for | Found |
| --- | --- |
| `.imd/reads/goal.json` (goal state) | absent |
| `.imd/reads/artifacts/` (results handed to an episode) | absent |
| A controller-designated decisions path | none given |
| Items and episodes left (budget) | unknown: only `goal.json` states them |
| Reads actually supplied | the goal-orchestrator skill text and its `REFERENCE.md`, nothing else |

The exact missing capability, in three parts:

1. **`goal_state`** Expected: .imd/reads/goal.json. Found: absent. Effect: No goal exists for this run: no goal id, no objective record, no earlier notes, no batch list, no refusals, and no statement of the items and episodes left (item/episode budget unknown, so not shown to be sufficient for 20 items).
2. **`native_episode`** Expected: an orchestrator episode whose objective names the decisions-file path the plane reads, with handed results under .imd/reads/artifacts/. Found: absent: the task was delivered as a single bounded "implement" assignment with only the skill text and its reference as reads; no controller-designated decisions path and no .imd/reads/artifacts/ directory. Effect: A decisions file written here is read by no plane, so a spawn in it dispatches nothing; and no later episode exists in which worker results could be handed back and compiled.
3. **`worker_dispatch`** Expected: a way for this seat to start 20 separate goal-task worker items and receive their results with platform metadata. Found: absent: this seat has no dispatch tool or API of its own; batches are started only by the plane acting on a native episode's decisions. Effect: Twenty independent judging reports cannot be produced. Writing them in this one session would be a simulated panel, which the objective forbids.

No controller state was created, modified or imitated to get past this: no `goal.json` was written, no
result was placed under `.imd/reads/`, and no batch was declared as running.

## Individual ballots

None. No report exists to publish or preserve.

| Judge | State | Worker | Model | Ballot |
| --- | --- | --- | --- | --- |
| judge-01 | not dispatched | unknown | unknown | none |
| judge-02 | not dispatched | unknown | unknown | none |
| judge-03 | not dispatched | unknown | unknown | none |
| judge-04 | not dispatched | unknown | unknown | none |
| judge-05 | not dispatched | unknown | unknown | none |
| judge-06 | not dispatched | unknown | unknown | none |
| judge-07 | not dispatched | unknown | unknown | none |
| judge-08 | not dispatched | unknown | unknown | none |
| judge-09 | not dispatched | unknown | unknown | none |
| judge-10 | not dispatched | unknown | unknown | none |
| judge-11 | not dispatched | unknown | unknown | none |
| judge-12 | not dispatched | unknown | unknown | none |
| judge-13 | not dispatched | unknown | unknown | none |
| judge-14 | not dispatched | unknown | unknown | none |
| judge-15 | not dispatched | unknown | unknown | none |
| judge-16 | not dispatched | unknown | unknown | none |
| judge-17 | not dispatched | unknown | unknown | none |
| judge-18 | not dispatched | unknown | unknown | none |
| judge-19 | not dispatched | unknown | unknown | none |
| judge-20 | not dispatched | unknown | unknown | none |

Worker and model identities are `unknown` throughout: identity is recorded only from platform metadata,
and there is none because no item ran. The labels judge-01 to judge-20 are planned item keys and prove
nothing about distinct workers. Repeated workers: none to disclose. Repeated models: none to disclose.

## Vote totals

| Entry | First-choice votes | Second-place tally |
| --- | --- | --- |
| A | no ballots | no ballots |
| B | no ballots | no ballots |
| C | no ballots | no ballots |
| D | no ballots | no ballots |
| E | no ballots | no ballots |
| F | no ballots | no ballots |
| G | no ballots | no ballots |
| H | no ballots | no ballots |
| I | no ballots | no ballots |

Valid ballots counted: 0 of 20 planned.

## Method that would have been applied (not applied)

- One research batch of 20 items, one ballot per item, no item able to see another's ballot. No
  consensus replicas and no oracle quorum. The plane's own canary (the first five items) where it runs one.
- First place: the entry with the most first-choice votes among valid ballots.
- Second place: remove the unique first-place winner from every valid preference order, then tally each
  ballot's highest remaining choice.
- A first-place tie is reported as tied leaders and leaves second place unresolved. A second-place tie
  is reported as it stands, with no tiebreak.
- Abstentions and missing judges are counted apart from valid ballots. A dissenting ballot is never
  replaced. The compiler adds no vote.

## Uncertainty

- The outcome is entirely undetermined: zero of 20 planned judges ran.
- Whether a goal for this contest would have enough items and episodes left is unknown; only goal.json states it.
- Whether worker items can view the two PNGs is untested; this machine only confirmed that both URLs answered HTTP 200 as image/png at the time checked.
- The planned batch brief below has never been run, so it has not been shown to work; a native canary (the first five items) would show that.

## Images

| Image | URL | HTTP check |
| --- | --- | --- |
| Entries A-I (layout A,B,C / D,E,F / G,H,I) | https://fren-pet-h2026-collage.rckmtlshared.chatgpt.site/H2026-collage-A-I.png | 200, image/png, 210856 bytes |
| Normal-pet reference (not an entry) | https://fren-pet-h2026-collage.rckmtlshared.chatgpt.site/Fren-Pet-normal-appearance-reference.png | 200, image/png, 68429 bytes |

The check was a fetch only, to tell an image fault apart from a context fault. The compiler did not view,
describe or rank either image, so this report contains no visual observation of any entry.

## What was not done

- No judge was simulated and no ballot, observation, ranking or explanation was written on a judge's behalf.
- No paid order was opened, nothing was purchased, no contract was deployed and no transaction was sent.
- No batch was spawned. `artifacts/goal/decisions.json` holds only `notes` saying so, in the shape of the
  skill's reference; it decides nothing.

## To run the contest for real

Start this objective as a goal on a plane that runs goal episodes, so an orchestrator episode is handed
`.imd/reads/goal.json` with at least 20 items and 2 episodes left (one to dispatch, one to compile; a
third if a canary pause has to be resumed or failed items re-run). The batch below is ready to be spawned
as written; it is also in `artifacts/goal/ballots.json` under `plannedBatch.spawn`, with its 20 items.

### Planned batch (never dispatched)

- Name: `fpcc-judges`, mode `research`, output `json` up to 8000 bytes.
- Items: `judge-01` to `judge-20`, each `{"key": "judge-NN", "vars": {"judge": "judge-NN"}}`.
- No table, no replicas, no ask. Group size 25 for 20 items, so each item's result is handed over as it
  is and no merger stands between a ballot and the tally.
- Brief, 2606 characters once filled (limit 3000). It asks one item for one ballot and says what the result must contain:

~~~text
You are {{judge}}, one independent guest judge at a community costume contest for Fren Pet, a virtual pet. Produce exactly one ballot from your own inspection of the two images below. You cannot see any other judge's ballot and must not look for one.
Entries (one image, nine costumes): https://fren-pet-h2026-collage.rckmtlshared.chatgpt.site/H2026-collage-A-I.png . It is a 3x3 grid read left to right, top to bottom: top row A, B, C; middle row D, E, F; bottom row G, H, I.
Reference (not an entry, never rank it): https://fren-pet-h2026-collage.rckmtlshared.chatgpt.site/Fren-Pet-normal-appearance-reference.png . It shows how a normal pet looks with no costume, so you can tell what each costume changed.
Download and actually view both images. Then rank all nine entries A to I by your overall impression, best first, with no numerical scores and no ties.
Guidelines: creativity, a convincing costume transformation and purposeful execution. Favor visible costume-related props, coordinated pieces and inventive use beyond ordinary headwear. A costume that fully covers the original pet is allowed. An ordinary hat-only or visibly poor design is less competitive. Ignore intrinsic pet traits, rarity, backgrounds, labels and screenshot quality. Judge what is visible, not guessed effort and not how popular an entry or its owner might be.
Your result is one JSON object and nothing else:
{"judge":"{{judge}}","status":"ballot","imagesInspected":{"collage":true,"reference":true},"observations":{"A":"...","B":"...","C":"...","D":"...","E":"...","F":"...","G":"...","H":"...","I":"..."},"ranking":["<1st>","<2nd>","<3rd>","<4th>","<5th>","<6th>","<7th>","<8th>","<9th>"],"firstChoiceReason":"...","secondChoiceReason":"...","abstainReason":null}
It must contain: "observations", one concrete thing you saw in each entry (a specific prop, garment, colour or shape, one sentence each); "ranking", each letter A to I exactly once in your complete preference order; "firstChoiceReason" and "secondChoiceReason", one or two sentences each on why ranking[0] and ranking[1] placed there.
If either image cannot be downloaded or you cannot actually see its contents, abstain: set "status" to "abstain", set "observations", "ranking" and both reasons to null, set the failing image to false in "imagesInspected", and say in "abstainReason" which image failed and how (the HTTP status or error). Never describe or rank what you did not see, and never guess from file names or from this brief.
Report nothing about the machine you run on or about yourself. Buy nothing, open no orders and send no transactions.
