Review, harden, test and deploy Squeek Colony for the Squeekchain Genesis Code campaign. Preserve the existing playable strategy game, visual identity, confirmed RoundRecorded resolution, zero-work handling, stale and simulated data separation, duplicate-round protection, training-mode isolation, responsive design, accessibility and automated tests.

Fix every reproducible issue, publish the production site and return the live URL, source commit, test report and IMD job reference. Do not fabricate telemetry, rewards, multiplayer features or Genesis approval.

    • mediumA truncated core event window is incorrectly treated as proof of zero worksrc/game.js:69

The hosted dist/assets/index-Bfufve1F.js, line 1, settlement function M, contains this same fallback. /v1/core contains only the 25 newest events, including BatchSettled and governance/proxy events (https://docs.squeekchain.com/developers/api/). Sixteen one-round active settlements alone emit 32 events. Being fewer than 16 rounds behind therefore does not prove that the pending round was inactive when its RoundRecorded is absent.

The code fabricates zero work, changes colony resources, and permanently records the round as processed. Zero work needs evidence covering that round, such as its certified batch/round record; missing evidence must remain unknown or expire without scoring.

In Node import normalizeCore, settlementResult, resolveRound and INITIAL_STATE from ./src/game.js.

Build a newest-first event list for rounds 350 down through 335, with BatchSettled followed by RoundRecorded(work=609) for each round, and pass only list.slice(0,25) to normalizeCore({schemaVersion:1,status:"available",core:{settledThroughRound:"350"},events:list.slice(0,25)}), matching the documented API limit.

      Call settlementResult(core,"335") and resolveRound(INITIAL_STATE,"forage",result).

Actual: result.workUnits is "0", grain becomes 39 and round 335 is marked resolved.

Full evidence contains 609 work for round 335 and would give grain 47.

Expected: do not award a zero-work outcome from this incomplete window; obtain the exact record or clear without scoring.

    • mediumSimulated and replay telemetry is displayed as live hardware activitysrc/main.js:47

The hosted dist/assets/index-Bfufve1F.js render function w (line 7) labels every available, non-stale response LIVE WHEELY9000. refresh sets mode to live for simulated, replay and derived provenance too; render never reads t.provenance or t.verified. Those responses display the green live indicator, RUNNING and LIVE SPEED, without a simulation/replay notice.

The lock guard correctly rejects them, but visitors are still shown non-hardware data as the real wheel, contrary to the required data separation. This is an advisory data-integrity defect, not a wallet or financial-reward claim.

      Serve dist and intercept https://api.squeekchain.com/v1/status with {schemaVersion:1,measurement:{freshness:"online",staleAfterSeconds:120,observedAt:new Date().toISOString(),provenance:"simulated",coreStatus:"ACTIVE",rpmMilli:12500},builder:{status:"available",anchor:{settledThroughRound:"346"}},oracle:{state:"accepted",latestClosure:{lastRound:"346"}}}; return {schemaVersion:1,status:"available",core:{settledThroughRound:"346"},events:[]} from /v1/core.

      Open the page.

Actual in Chromium: LIVE WHEELY9000, green live indicator, RUNNING, 12.5 RPM, and no notice.

Selecting Forage and Lock only then produces the not-hardware-verified toast.

Repeating with provenance "replay" or "derived" has the same presentation.

Expected: explicitly distinguish each non-hardware provenance before any interaction and avoid the live-hardware label.

    • mediumRe-locking an already processed round leaves every game action disabledsrc/main.js:103

The hosted dist/assets/index-Bfufve1F.js bind function B (line 50) accepts telemetry.roundId without checking state.resolvedRounds. Because /status and /core are fetched independently, a just-settled round can still be the displayed current round.

After its first resolution, a second lock persists that same round. resolveRound (src/game.js:86) then returns the unchanged state for duplicates, so pendingRound is never cleared and all action buttons stay disabled, even when newer rounds arrive. The duplicate score is prevented, but normal play can remain blocked until the proof window expires (or indefinitely if the old event remains in the newest-event list).

      Serve dist with /status returning {schemaVersion:1,measurement:{freshness:"online",staleAfterSeconds:120,observedAt:new Date().toISOString(),provenance:"hardware",coreStatus:"ACTIVE",rpmMilli:12500},builder:{status:"available",anchor:{settledThroughRound:"346"}},oracle:{state:"accepted",latestClosure:{lastRound:"346"}}}, and /core reporting settledThroughRound "347" with RoundRecorded(roundId="347",work="609").

Select Forage, Lock, and let one 15-second refresh run: grain becomes 47 and the action clears.

While /status still reports closure 346, select Raid and Lock again, then refresh.

Actual: pendingRound stays "347", pendingAction stays "raid", and every action plus the commit button is disabled.

Update /status closure to "348" and /core frontier to "348" while retaining the RoundRecorded(347) event, then refresh: it remains locked for 347.

Expected: reject a processed round before persisting the lock, or clear the duplicate pending action without scoring so the next round is playable.

Confirmed on the exported bundle in Chromium.

    • mediumThe configured production CSP blocks every dynamic progress metersrc/main.js:95

The hosted dist/assets/index-Bfufve1F.js meter function v (line 50) and the block-progress element emit inline style attributes for width and color. vercel.json configures style-src to allow only self and fonts.googleapis.com, which blocks those attributes. dist/assets/index-J8QKqD3w.css makes the inner i elements display:block with no stylesheet width, so the blocked meters become full-width green bars.

The colony state and block-progress graphics therefore contradict their numeric values whenever the supplied production headers are applied. Use a CSP-compatible way of setting the dynamic presentation.

Serve dist with the Content-Security-Policy header exactly as configured in vercel.json.

Open a fresh colony with a normal hardware status whose builder.projected.blockProgress is "600000000".

In Chromium the console reports blocked inline styles; all four colony meter widths and the block-progress width are 100%, all green, while text shows Morale 72%, Defense 46%, Wilds mapped 12%, Hollowcat 100 HP and Block Progress 60%.

Serve the same bytes without that header as a control: widths are approximately 72%, 46%, 12%, 0% and 60%, with the intended distinct colors.

Expected: accurate bars under the configured production policy.

    • mediumSelecting a move or polling the API discards keyboard focussrc/main.js:48

The hosted dist/assets/index-Bfufve1F.js render function w (line 7) replaces the entire app subtree on every selection and 15-second refresh. This removes the focused control. Although dist/assets/index-J8QKqD3w.css supplies focus-visible outlines, keyboard users lose their place immediately after selecting an action and whenever live data refreshes.

Updating the existing controls or preserving and restoring focus is needed to keep keyboard play usable.

Open dist with an available fresh hardware response.

Use Tab to focus Forage and press Enter.

Actual in Chromium: document.activeElement becomes BODY; the next Tab focuses the top Skip to game link instead of continuing from the selected move.

Then focus Lock in Forage and allow the next 15-second API refresh to complete: activeElement again becomes BODY.

Expected: selecting a move keeps focus on a meaningful game control, and a background refresh preserves the currently focused element.

    • mediumA stalled API refresh permits locks using telemetry older than its freshness limitsrc/main.js:102

The hosted dist/assets/index-Bfufve1F.js bind function B (line 50) checks only the stale boolean calculated at the last successful refresh. It never recalculates age at lock time. The fetches in src/api.js have no timeout, and the next refresh is scheduled only after the current one finishes.

If a response hangs, the last measurement can remain labelled LIVE indefinitely and can still authorize a live lock after its staleAfterSeconds limit. This violates the fresh-hardware requirement even though the API itself need not send any incorrect data.

Serve dist with a hardware/accepted/available status observed at time T, freshness "online", staleAfterSeconds 120, closure round "346", and an available core at round "346".

After the initial page load, let the scheduled refresh begin but keep its /status or /core response pending without fulfilling or rejecting it.

At T+121 seconds, select Forage and press Lock.

Actual in Chromium with its test clock advanced to T+121: the page still says LIVE WHEELY9000, persists pendingRound "347" with lockedAt=T+121, and says Action locked; no future refresh is queued.

Expected: expired telemetry is labelled stale and cannot authorize a lock, and a hung request times out so polling can recover.
